How to pronunciate Garraud

Hey,
i feel emberessed everytime i want to say the name "garraud" because i dont now how to pronunciate it.
People here in Austria (Austria! not Australia) always say it like its written
(that would be a "ga" like the ga of lady gaga, then a "r"; "au" is said like the first two letters of "out" and at last a simple soft "d")
but i dont know if thats right.
