Les tracks sont bons, mais alors quel manque d'ouverture de la part de Funkagenda...il joue que les tracks de ses compères ? Ou alors c'est pour faire un gros coup de promo mais j'ai du mal à croire qu'un chart beatport ait autant d'influence ^^

Coup de promo, en effet il est quand même ouvert à beaucoup d'artistes mais préfère surement playlister les morceaux de ses amis Mark Knight, Paul Thomas, Kim Fai et consorts pour faire un peu de pub et aussi car ce sont ses potes.

Just when you think you know an artist, they creep up on you with something a little out of the ordinary and leave you scratching your head. Then you have Toolroom Knights Mixed by Mark Knight 2.0, which is less about stealth and rather a full on frontal attack that will hammer through any previous boundaries you may have created for the Toolroom Records chief. The result isn’t head scratching either, but more likely to be burst ear drums and sore dancing feet, as we’re treated to a genre-busting feast of electronic music that refuses to be pigeonholed and is sourced from the deepest and most obscure corners of Mark’s own personal Toolroom.

CD1 begins with the sweet summery vibes of ‘Break Up’ by Sasse before inspiring your groove hormones with the infectious horns of ‘Parklife’ and the contagious beats of Audiofly’s ‘1999’. Then Mark’s first appearance, as remixer on ‘Save Us’, shifts gear and propels the mix to peak time tech house, quickly followed by a series of exclusive tracks recorded especially for this compilation. Adam S provides the twisted military funk, next Mr. Knight returns with the gushing warmth of ‘Mannheim’, a tribute to the city all about the groove, and then ‘Club Politics’, Mark’s ode to the aspects of clubland we could all do without.
By now we’ve blown 2 speakers and the ice cannon has run dry, but the cavalry arrives in a sequence of climaxing minimal tech before the monstrous ‘Phat Planet’, revisited by Mark and Toolroom buddy Funkagenda, keeps us sprinting to the finish line of a frenzied mix representing the full breadth of the dance music spectrum.

Straight into CD2, we enter deep house territory, courtesy of Soul Minority, and the yet to be released bliss of ‘Lisbon Sunrise’ by S Groove. Then, more exclusives from Funkagenda, in the form of relentless atmospheric techer ‘Do Geese See God’ and the more classic Toolroom sounding power of ‘Breakwater’, sharpen the tension and reveal the dark side of Toolroom Knights. There is industrial techno throb - Tiger Stripes style - and pulsating loops from Bedrock boys, Digweed and Muir, as well as yet another unseen track, this time D-Formation’s melodic anthem ‘Signs and Portents 09’. Somewhat fittingly, the finale sees the mighty Faithless with ‘Music Matters’, Toolroom Record’s 100th release in fact, and Mark Knight himself on typical stellar remix duty.

Toolroom Knights Mixed by Mark Knight 2.0 is a challenge to your senses, it’ll make you soar on a seemingly endless rhythm before dropping you into a pool of drowning electronic tech and then teasing to rescue you with an elusive crescendo. More than anything though, it is a challenge to anyone who thinks they know Mark Knight and Toolroom, to well and truly think again.

La partie flûte est une boucle Logic toute faite si jamais, pas de création là dedans ( Che Flute aussi d'ailleurs ).
Malgré tout j'aime, les dernières prod' de Funkagenda et consorts ( Mark Knight,..) ne m'ont pas déçues .

D'ailleurs je trouve la petite pub beatport (c'est la pochette de l'EP aussi) bien stylé.
Par contre j'aime aucune des tracks , ça reste bien en dessous du remix de Phoenix qui est une véritable tuerie !!!

I do hope you all like my compilation... I did put a lot of hard work into it... Literally mixed my hands away to bloody stumps. Disapointing to see that of the promos that we sent out of my album some people decided to share it on the internet... How nice of them...
I mean really, you get sent music for FREE and all we ask is that you give us your thoughts and that you DON'T share it. Is that too hard??? WTF is wrong with people? You work in an industry that you are killing by filesharing... You are effectively signing your own P45 you cunts.
Honestly you people who are involved in filesharing just don't fucking get it do you? You are not just ONE person... You are altering a collective world view on the cost of music. If you subscribe to the concept that music for YOU is free then you are letting others believe it is free for them too! You like my music? You like anyone elses music? THEN BUY IT!!! You want promos before anyone else? Then do what I had to do, and what all the people before me had to do... Work hard... Get Good... Then people will send you promos!!!
This belief people have that it is their god given right to take what they fucking want makes me sick to my stomach. The thing that worries me most is that the promo list for this album is small... And it was global Journalists. But you don't seem to see that once the music industry is gone, you won't have anything to write about you fuckwits!!!
Honestly I am so upset now. Watching the industry do this to itself is like watching a heroin addict slowly scag himself to death. Think of it this way people. We try to teach our children the difference between right and wrong. Do we really want them to think that theft of ANY kind is right? As the concept gets dliuted and they get to our age, what will THEY think it is ok to steal?
The internet is gonna get bigger and so are the possibilitys for crime... Quash this concept NOW! Just because a crime is faceless it does NOT make it ok... You just become part of a much bigger problem.
If I can't convince you that music theft is still theft then you will go on stealing. So I just make my feelings heard to those who listen.
People keep telling me I have to "Adapt"... To what? The acceptance of crime? No thanks... And how exactly does a record label - a business that earns money from SELLING music - adapt to being unable to sell music?
It has honestly shocked me how many people are just ready to roll over and die on the piracy matter... Maybe we can't change anything... but should we all turn around and say "Yeah ok whatever... Steal from me... I will adapt..." Fuck off...
